Summary in English After the death of Akhenaten, Egypt is plunged into political, religious and military turmoil. Horemheb, a former royal scribe and close associate of Tutankhamun, rises to become a powerful general and helps restore order to the kingdom. Amid political conspiracies and foreign threats, he protects the young pharaoh before eventually becoming pharaoh himself. As ruler, Horemheb restores traditional religious practices, reforms the army and administration, and works to rebuild Egypt's prosperity and stability, paving the way for the later Ramesside dynasty. |
