Résumé : |
The story is told from the perspective of an unnamed narrator, who is a pilot. After his plane crashes in the Sahara Desert, he encounters a young boy, the Little Prince, who claims to be from another planet. The narrator is initially puzzled by the boy's strange appearance and behavior, but the Little Prince soon begins sharing his story.
The Little Prince comes from a tiny asteroid called B-612. On his planet, he lives alone, taking care of a beautiful rose that he loves deeply. As he travels through the universe, he visits various other planets and meets a variety of adults, each of whom embodies certain flaws or obsessions. These characters include: The King, who believes he rules the universe but is only able to give orders that are meaningless. The Conceited Man, who craves admiration from others but is ignored by everyone. The Drunkard, who drinks to forget his shame of drinking. The Lamplighter, who dutifully lights a lamp on his tiny planet, but his job has become an absurd and never-ending task. The Geographer, who knows nothing about the world he studies and is more interested in writing than exploring. |
