Résumé :

Hyderabad has a rich 430-year history, and its buildings tell their own tales. For the past few decades, the city's built heritage has been vanishing at an alarming rate. The reasons for this vary, but one of the main reasons is a lack of awareness and ownership of these heritage structures among the general public. This book is intended to teach readers about the city's fascinating buildings and their intimate histories. This book is the culmination of three years of extensive research and travel to photograph, document, and illustrate the city's heritage buildings. The majority of the buildings discussed in the book are either inaccessible to the general public, abandoned, on the verge of complete destruction, or so encroached upon that the essence of the building has vanished.
